  • Once you’ve scheduled your initial appointment, I’ll email you some paperwork through my patient portal to complete beforehand. The first 1-2 sessions we’ll spend getting to know one another and exploring your reasons for seeking therapy and helping you to identify your goals for therapy. As I begin to better understand what makes you, well you, and how you got be where you are in your life today, we will begin our work together towards your goals

  • In the beginning, the majority of my clients meet weekly in order to begin seeing progress more quickly. Consistency is key to for therapy to be beneficial. However, I understand that this is not possible for everyone so I am flexible with your needs.

  • You’ll receive an email from my patient portal, Simple Practice, with a link to join the session two days before each appointment. At the time of your appointment, simply click the link when you’re ready to begin your appointment. You may use a smartphone for the sessions, which requires you to download an app called Telehealth by Simple Practice.

  • No, I’m not contracted with any insurance providers. I am considered an out-of-network provider by most PPO insurance plans. If you’d like to use your insurance, you’ll pay me directly for services and submit a receipt for services to your insurance company. I will provide the receipt to you monthly and your insurance will reimburse you directly if mental health services are covered. You may also use your HSA or FSA card to pay for services. Please note that most insurance companies require a mental health diagnosis to cover claims. Be sure to verify the specifics of your coverage carefully. Here are some questions to ask:

    • Will you reimburse for mental health service providers that are out of network?

    • Do I have a deductible to meet before you will reimburse?

    • Have I met any portion of that deductible yet?

    • What is the reimbursement rate per therapy session?

    • How many sessions per year are covered?

    • Individual Therapy: $185

    • Couples Therapy: $210

    All sessions are 50 minutes

    Payment is set up in my practice management system prior to your first session as part of the completion of the initial paperwork. I accept all major credit cards as well as FSA/HSA cards. Your card will be billed automatically for sessions.

  • My practice has a 48-hour cancellation policy. If you’re unable to make your appointment, please text or email me at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled session time or you will be billed the full session fee.
